Proximity to Schools If you have school-aged children, it’s important to consider what schools are available in the neighborhood and how close they are to your home. Summit on Nellis is in the Clark County School District, and only half a mile from Hal Smith Elementary School. You’ll never have to wait in a carpool line again when the school is just a short walk away!
Parks, Shops, & Entertainment While being close to work and school is important, your lifestyle is about the things you enjoy doing. Whether you like to spend your evening at the park or you prefer to grab a drink and a movie, Las Vegas has something for everyone. Summit on Nellis is near dozens of shops and restaurants. Whether you walk, drive, or take the bus in the mornings, Dutch Bros Coffee is close by to help you wake up for the day. Have a late night ahead of you? They’re open until 10 pm! Running out of milk and having to drive 15 minutes to the grocery store is the worst, but luckily there is an Albertson’s just down the street from Summit on Nellis! You can easily walk or drive there in minutes to get the everyday necessities. If you’re looking for a fun night out, the Las Vegas Strip is just a 25-minute drive from Summit on Nellis! Whether you’re a die-hard Raiders fan or your favorite artist is performing, there is always something for everyone here!
Transportation Your ability to get around is one of the most important factors in choosing where you live. If you have a car you may consider the proximity to highways and your job, but if you don’t have personal transportation being near public transportation is crucial. There are three bus stops on the same block as Summit on Nellis, just a short walk away. Whether you’re heading North or South transportation is easily accessible from Nellis Boulevard.

You know it's important to do your research when searching for a place to live, but sometimes it can be hard to know where to start. Here are a few things you’ll want to know about an apartment before you consider signing a lease.
Some apartment complexes include furniture in the lease of your apartment. Not having to buy and move your own furniture can be convenient, but fully furnished apartments can also be more expensive. Home furnishings aren’t a one size fits all. We do not offer furnished apartments at Summit on Nellis as we want to give you the freedom to create the look and feel of your home and design it to meet your specific needs.
It’s important to consider what amenities are available in your individual unit. Most apartments will provide a refrigerator and an oven, but they don’t always provide a microwave, washer, or dryer. You’ll also want to consider the amount of storage space in the unit and if it will meet your needs. At Summit on Nellis, all of our units have fully equipped kitchens along with a full-size washer and dryer.
Whether you are a pet lover or prefer to keep your distance, it is so important to be aware of your apartment’s pet policy! Some apartments in East Las Vegas only allow certain breeds or sizes of animals, some require a pet deposit or pet rent, and some do not allow them at all. When living in Las Vegas, having proper security measures at your apartment complex is important for your safety and peace of mind. You’ll want to ask the community manager if the community is gated, if access to hallways is restricted to key holders, about lighting at night, and about their security cameras. Summit on Nellis is a gated community, so you never have to worry about strangers roaming the property! Our property is well-lit and features security cameras in community areas. We also offer secured garage parking for additional peace of mind.
Every apartment complex in East Vegas is going to have different amenities. Communities with luxury amenities will often charge more for rent so you need to decide which amenities are important for you and your lifestyle. During the hot Nevada Summers, it’s nice to have a pool to cool off in. If you have a pet, pet-friendly areas in the community can be a great help. Apartments may also offer clubhouses, fitness centers, sports courts, picnic areas, playgrounds, and more.

An apartment lease agreement is a legally binding contract between a landlord and tenant that outlines the terms and conditions of renting an apartment. It includes information such as the length of the lease, rent amount, security deposit, and rules and regulations for living in the apartment. No matter where you live, always make sure you understand the terms of your lease before signing!
